Adam Marks, formerly vice president of strategy and corporate development at Thales Group, has joined Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR) SSL subsidiary, as chief strategy officer.
Marks will oversee the development of new partnerships and markets and seek new business opportunities for space systems and communications platforms in support of government and commercial clients, SSL said Tuesday.
Prior to Thales, he worked at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH), where he advised defense and aerospace sector clients.
He has two decades experience in technology companies that deal with cybersecurity, big data analytics, mobile broadband connectivity platforms and other digital technologies.
Mark Sarojak, formerly CEO of GeoNeo, has been named VP of commercial Earth observation at SSL.
Sarojak will be responsible for SSLs remote sensing business and strategies for small satellite applications and satellite-based technologies.
He led partner networks, global sales and marketing groups and commercial strategies during his 11-year tenure at BAE Systems and has over 20 years of experience in geospatial intelligence and strategic leadership.
The appointment of Marks and Sarojak is part of the expansion of SSLs leadership team as the company works to broaden its focus on Earth observation and small satellites and build up growth opportunities for spacecraft platforms.
