Veteran Harry Miller remembers how against all odds the 740th Tank Battalion stopped the 1st SS Panzer Division, the spearhead of Germany’s surprise Ardennes offensive. The 740th was billeted in the town of Neufchateau, Belgium, but had no tanks when they were asked to stop the German offensive.
