Report: CMS Plans $25B Care Quality Improvement, Innovation Contract


The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services plans to select multiple contractors to support data-based healthcare quality improvement efforts nationwide through a potential 10-year, $25 billion contract vehicle, Bloomberg Government reported Monday.

A draft request for proposals notice says the Network of Quality Improvement and Innovation Contractors program will cover initiatives aimed at helping clinicians, patients and families manage care decisions with the use of data analytics technology.

The report said HealthInsight and Health Services hold positions on all three procurement vehicles.
