Orbital ATK Demonstrates Hypersonic Missile Warhead


TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 30, 2018 ” Orbitak ATK (NYSE: OA) has demonstrated its new missile warhead technology designed for use at hyper velocities and high-temperature environments, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The company said Thursday it based the design of the hypersonic missile weapon on real-world data and applied additive manufacturing or 3D printing methods to produce the warhead test models used in the demonstration.

Orbital ATK also used its Lethality Enhanced Ordnance technology developed to provide an extended range of options for warhead sizes.
