General Anderson has distinguished himself with an impressive career that includes more than four decades of military service and private sector work overseeing complex logistics and security operations, said Victor Esposito, chief executive officer, in the press release.
His vision and leadership will be a valuable addition as the company continues its integral work in the global fight against terror, Esposito added.
After retiring from the U.S. Army in 2010, General Anderson has held the role of director with the Ultralife Corporation, a battery and communications equipment manufacturer, and spent the past two years serving as the Afghanistan country manager for the Fluor Corporation.
[Sallyport] approaches its work with a precision, commitment and loyalty that are reminiscent of the armed services, and I look forward to joining the team as Sallyport takes on new challenges around the world, Anderson commented.
In Iraq, Anderson served under General Petraeus as a deputy chief of staff and was the chief logistics architect of the 2007 Five Brigade Surge.
