General Atomics‘ aeronautical systems business and MAG Aerospace will serve as prime contractors for the sale, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Wednesday.
The U.K.’s requested for follow-on Reaper program support, depot and organizational level maintenance and equipment, minor modifications and upgrades, spare and repair/return parts, publication and technical documentation services.
DCSA noted the British government aims to maintain the operational readiness of the country’s MQ-9 UAVs in order to support coalition operations.
The proposed transaction will not require the deployment of additional U.S. government and contractor representatives to the U.K.
