Boeing Lands $313M Follow-On Award for Canadian Air Force Chinook Fleet Support

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a $313 million follow-on contract to provide logistics, engineering, supply chain, data analytics and training services for the Canadian air force’s fleet of Chinook heavy-lift helicopters.

The company said Tuesday it will continue to provide lifecycle support to the CH-147F  helicopters through 2023 under an amendment to a performance-based logistics contract originally awarded in 2013.

Canada’s air force reviews its Chinook fleet support needs on a quinquennial basis.

Turbo Sjogren, vice president of international government services at Boeing, said the company aims to help the military service increase system availability and decrease maintenance cycles using predictive tools under the PBL agreement.

The company intends to continue working with its Canadian aerospace industry partners to support the country’s Industrial and Regional Benefits Policy.

Boeing said it has 2,000 highly-skilled workers and nearly 560 suppliers throughout Canada.
