The new company that will emerge from the proposed merger of DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) U.S. public sector business with Vencore and KeyPoint Government Solutions will operate under the Perspecta name upon the transaction™s closure.

Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Vencore, will serve as CEO of Perspecta that is expected to launch in May, Vencore said Thursday.

œIn selecting the new company™s name and brand, it was important to represent the optimism and excitement around the unique value that this combined entity will deliver to government customers, he said.

Curtis, a 2018 Wash100 recipient, added the company will work to focus on innovation and adopt collaborative approaches to help address complex national challenges.

Mike Lawrie, chairman, president and CEO of DXC, will serve as chairman of Perspecta upon the deal™s closure.

DXC originally announced the merger in October 2017 that seeks to create a œtop five independent, publicly traded government information technology services contractor.

Vencore said Perspecta will deliver end-to-end mission platforms and IT services to federal, local and state government clients to help them address information and national security challenges.

The registration process with the Securities and Exchange Commission is now underway and the companies have received all the necessary regulatory clearances to complete the merger.
