The Defense Department said Friday Raytheon’s integrated defense systems business will analyze, execute and plan test activities for sensor systems designed to evaluate BMDS flight tests and ground tests as part of the BMDS integrated master test plan.
The contractor will also help the agency develop, maintain and integrate the Open Systems Architecture Signal Injector and Open Systems Architecture Model with hardware-in-the-loop radar representation and simulation framework as well as provide validation, verification, stakeholder and event support for the radar testing effort.
MDA received two bids for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and is obligating $3.4 million in fiscal 2017 and 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
The ordering period will run through Jan. 11, 2023, with one option year provided in the IDIQ contract.
Work will occur in Huntsville, Alabama and in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
