The company’s defense, space and security business will provide 36 new F-15QA fighter jets for Qatars air force under a potential $6.2 billion contract that will run through Dec. 30, 2022, the Defense Department said Friday.
Boeing will also deliver one KC-46A aerial refueling plane to Japan through a potential $288.7 million FMS contract that is set to conclude on Feb. 28, 2021.
The firm-fixed-price contract with Japan also covers integrated logistics and nonrecurring engineering support services.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center will obligate at the time of award $3 billion in FMS funds under the contract with Qatar and another $278.6 million in FMS funds under the contract with Japan.
Boeing will perform work in St. Louis, Missouri, and Seattle, Washington.
