Chenega to Buy ADG for Public Sector Digital Transformation Services Push

Chenega has agreed to acquire Columbia, Maryland-based strategic communications agency ADG Creative for an undisclosed sum in a move to expand the Alaska native corporation’s user-focused design and digital transformation offerings for government clients.

Chenega said Wednesday it expects to complete the acquisition in January, pending approvals and other customary closing conditions, and plans to operate ADG as a wholly owned subsidiary.

John “JC” Campagna, president of military, intelligence and operations support business unit at Chenega, said the company will leverage ADG™s approach to build up its offerings and help meet digital transformation requirements of federal agency customers.

Chenega offers security, data science, communications, health care, environmental and professional services to government agencies through its spots on at least 250 federal contracts.

ADG Creative provides data visualization, content marketing, training, branding and positioning and interactive design services to intelligence and defense agencies as well as commercial clients.

Jeff Antkowiak, ADG founder and chief creative officer, said the transaction would help the company gain access to Chenega™s government and commercial clients and pursue new business opportunities.

Holland & Knight and KippsDeSanto respectively serve as legal counsel and investment banker to ADG in the transaction.

Hunton & Williams acts as Chenega™s adviser and counsel in the deal.

Representatives at auditing firm RSM helped introduce the two companies.
