Bret Taylor, Alex Dayon Named to Salesforce Leadership Posts

Bret Taylor, formerly CEO and co-founder of collaboration platforms provider Quip, has joined Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) as president and chief product officer.

Taylor will oversee Salesforce™s go-to-market strategy, product vision, development and design efforts in his new role, the company said Tuesday.

He previously served as chief technology officer of Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) before he established Quip, which was acquired by Salesforce in 2016.

Taylor co-founded social networking firm FriendFeed, helped create Google Maps at Google and currently serves as a board member at Twitter (NYSE: TWTR).

Alex Dayon, a nine-year Salesforce veteran, has been appointed president and chief strategy officer with responsibility over the customer relationship management technology company™s strategic initiatives.

Dayon founded InStranet, which was purchased by Salesforce in 2008, and led the product group as a founding member of Business Objects.

Taylor and Dayon will directly report to Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO of Salesforce.
