ManTech Records Q3 2017 Rise in Revenue, Net Income; Kevin Phillips Comments

ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) recorded $422.7 million in revenue for the third quarter of its fiscal year 2017, up from $415.4 million in the same period last year.

ManTech said Wednesday it posted $15.2 million in Q3 net income, a figure that reflects a 4 percent rise from the prior-year period.

The Herndon, Virginia-based government technology services provider also saw a 3 percent hike in its Q3 diluted earnings per share compared with the same quarter in 2016.

Kevin Phillips, president and chief operating officer at ManTech, called the company™s 2017 performance œexceptional.

œThe momentum in the business continues to build and we are focused on program execution to ensure that the mission-critical needs of our customers are met,” added Phillips, an inductee into Executive Mosaic™s Wash100 for 2017.

ManTech recorded $1.9 billion in contract awards during the third quarter of 2017 with new work representing approximately 70 percent of those awards.

Some of the contracts that contributed to the company™s Q3 bookings include a potential 10-year, $817 million contract with the State Department for technical platforms and security support services and a 10-year, $450 million contract with NASA™s Jet Propulsion Laboratory for managed information technology services.

ManTech announced its Q3 financial results a month after the company closed its $180 million cash acquisition of Bethesda, Maryland-based IT platforms provider InfoZen in a push to expand its offerings for the federal civilian market.
