Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has landed a spot on a potential five-year, $250 million blanket purchase agreement to provide information technology support services to the Agriculture Department.
SAIC said Tuesday it will offer capital planning, enterprise architecture and security services intended to help USDA standardize IT applications and roadmaps across the department.
The company also seeks to help the department create modern enterprise architectures that will support customers such as agricultural producers, forest owners and ranchers.
“We are excited to expand our support to the USDA and to provide new services under this blanket purchase agreement,” said Bob Genter, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s federal civilian customer group.
SAIC is one of two companies that hold positions on the contract that was awarded through the General Services Administration‘s IT Schedule 70 contract vehicle.
