2 Federal Payment Service Providers Land Spots on GSA SmartPay 3 GWAC Vehicle

The General Services Administration has awarded Citibank and U.S. Bank positions on the third iteration of the agency’s governmentwide acquisition contract vehicle for charge cards and other payment services.

GSA said Tuesday it expects the contracts awarded through the SmartPay 3 GWAC to help facilitate government charge card and payment transactions worth approximately $700 billion through 2031 if all options are exercised.

Approximately 560 agency clients and organizations are anticipated to use the SmartPay 3 program to buy chip-based charge cards, fleet, travel, virtual accounts and other payment support services, the agency noted.

GSA added that agencies can now start the competition to facilitate the awarding process for task orders through the SmartPay 3 program prior to the expiration of SmartPay 2 contracts on Nov. 29, 2018.

The agency named the awardees months after it issued a request for proposals in February.
