General Dynamics, Lockheed Vet James McConville Named Privia President, CEO


James McConville

James McConville, a more than 20-year federal market veteran, has joined Privia as president and CEO of the Herndon, Virginia-based government contracting bid, capture and proposal software company.

He previously held a similar dual-role at Aeromech Engineering and served as an executive vice president at Chandler/May, both of which Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) purchased in 2012, Privia said Monday.

“Jay brings a wealth of experience in the federal contracting space and a deep understanding of the needs of business and proposal development professionals,” said Steve Maier, president of management concepts at Privia.

McConville also served in senior business development and operations roles at Lockheed, General Dynamics  (NYSE: GD) and ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT).

He is also founder of strategy, advocacy and business development consulting firm Emerald Collaborative Partners.

Herndon, Virginia-based Privia offers software products and service offerings designed to help federal contractors bid for and capture contracts with the government.
