Air Force Moves Launch of 2 Lockheed Martin-Built Satellites to 2018


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 7, 2017 ” Two Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) U.S. Air Force satellites have been rescheduled to launch in 2018 aboard United Launch Alliance Atlas V rockets, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

Spaceflight Now reported Wednesday the fourth Space Based Infrared System missile warning satellite will launch on Jan. 18 instead of Nov. 9 because of updates to the prioritization of program resources, while the fourth Advanced Extremely High Frequency communications satellite has been moved from its original schedule on Oct. 11 but is yet to get a new launch date.
