Doug Wagoner, president of services and solutions sector at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC), will step down from his role at the Reston, Virginia-based government information technology services contractor on Sept. 1.
Dan Harris, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s sector operations and planning, will take over as acting sector president and report to Chief Operating Officer Nazzic Keene, the company said Friday.
“Doug has been a highly regarded leader and colleague and we thank him for his many contributions,†said Tony Moraco, SAIC CEO and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017.
Moraco added that Wagoner, a 2015 Wash100 inductee, played a role in SAIC’s 2013 spinoff from its parent company now known as Leidos (NYSE: LDOS).
Wagoner was named sector president in 2013 and has since led a team composed of at least 13,000 employees responsible for network integration, systems engineering, simulation, training and logistics work with government and commercial clients.
He previously worked at Data Systems Analysts as an SVP and at Choicepoint as a VP.
