Navy Taps Boeing Subsidiary for ScanEagle UAS Delivery to Afghanistan


TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 27, 2017 ” A Boeing (NYSE: BA) subsidiary will supply the government of Afghanistan with five additional ScanEagle unmanned aircraft systems under a $19.6 million order from the U.S. Navy, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The Defense Department said Tuesday the award to Insitu also covers the delivery of spares and support equipment and deployment of field service representatives, operators and site activation teams to assist the Afghan military in using the drones.
