The Defense Department said Wednesday the Next Generation Thermal, Power, and Controls program is a multi-agency and industry effort that seeks to expand knowledge and understanding of future power, thermal and controls requirements.
The Air Force awarded the first spot under the NGT-PAC contract to Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) in late June and subsequently added Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and United Technologies Corp.‘s (NYSE: UTC) Pratt and Whitney subsidiary to the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract earlier this month.
The Air Force Research Laboratory received seven proposals for the potential seven-year IDIQ and will obligate $106,244 at time of award from fiscal year 2017 research and development funds to finance the first task order.
