The Army will use company-made M783 and M734A1 fuzes to perform close range and indirect fire support combat operations, L3 said Thursday.
Todd Gautier, president of L3’s electronic systems business segment, said the contract extends an ongoing partnership between the company and the service branch.
L3’s fuzing and ordnance systems unit will conduct work on the multiyear contract in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The FOS business develops and manufactures fuzing products, safety devices and sensors designed for use in air-dropped munitions, artillery, mortars, missiles, rockets and other weapons systems.
