Lockheed to Produce Multiple Launch Rocket Warheads, Pods Under $472M FMS Contract


Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a potential two-year, $471.7 million foreign military sales contract from the U.S. Army to manufacture full-rate production 12 Multiple Launch Rocket System components for France, Germany, Finland and Singapore.

Lockheed™s missile and fire control business will deliver 2,868 guided MLRS alternative warhead rockets, 648 unitary warhead rockets, 370 reduced-range practice rocket pods and logistics support services under the fixed-price-incentive contract, the Defense Department said Thursday.

The company will perform work in Grand Prairie, Texas, through July 31, 2019.

The Army Contracting Command will obligate $171.7 million from fiscal 2017 other funds at the time of award.

MLRS is an automatic mobile platform that works to fire surface-to-surface missiles and rockets and has been fielded in 14 countries.
