Navy Awards General Dynamics Unit $244M Surface Combat Training Support Contract


General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) business unit has received a potential five-year, $244 million contract to provide training support services for the U.S. Navy™s Center for Surface Combat Systems.

General Dynamics Information Technology will provide warfare training and curriculum development support for CSCS™ 15 learning areas and detachments as well as international programs, the company said Wednesday.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division awarded the contract that has a base term of one year and four one-year options.

Rich Farinacci, vice president and general manager of General Dynamics Information Technology™s professional services and training solutions sector, said the company will work to help CSCS provide surface ship combat training needed to achieve surface warfare advantage.

General Dynamics has been a provider of tactical warfare and domain training support to CSCS since 2012.
