Rolls-Royce Secures $79M Contract for KC-130J Tanker Engine Support to Marine Corps, Kuwait


Rolls-Royce has received a $78.7 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Navy to provide engineering and logistics support for KC-130J aircraft engines.

The Defense Department said Tuesday that Rolls-Royce will support AE 2100D3 engines for aerial refueling tankers of the U.S. Marine Corps and the government of Kuwait under a foreign military sales deal.

Contract work will occur in California, Indiana, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Japan and Kuwait through May 2022.

Rolls-Royce’s AE 2100D3 engine is designed to power Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) C-130J Hercules and LM-100J transport aircraft platforms.

KC-130J is an extended-range tanker version of the C-130J aircraft.
