General Dynamics Buys Advatech’s Electronics & Comms Division in Cyber Offering Expansion Push


General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has purchased Advatech Pacific™s electronics and communications division for an undisclosed amount in a move to grow cybersecurity technology and service offerings for clients in intelligence and defense markets.

The acquired business will be integrated into General Dynamics™ mission systems segment, the company said Wednesday.

General Dynamics Mission Systems seeks to integrate Advatech™s TACDS and CenturionCDS cross-domain security platforms with its cyber product line that includes BluAura, TACLANE-FLEX and Sectera vIPer Universal Secure Phone.

TACDS is a National Security Agency-certified ruggedized cross-domain system designed for deployment on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and armored platforms, while CenturionCDS is a small tactical device that works to facilitate data transfer among deployed warfighters.
