Australia asked to procure AGM-88B anti-radiation tactical missiles, AGM-88E guided tactical missiles, CATM-88B HARM captive air training missiles control sections, flight termination platforms and related missile guidance and control components for the countrys fleet of Boeing-built (NYSE: BA) EA-18G Growler aircraft, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Friday.
Logistics, U.S. government and contractor engineering, related support tools and technical services are also included in the potential deal.
Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) and Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) will serve as contractors for the transaction that seeks to support Australias efforts to build up homeland defense and capability in support of coalition initiatives as well as deter regional threats.
DSCA said it notified Congress of the proposed FMS deal Thursday.
