Earlier this week, President Donald Trump proposed boosting the nation’s defense spending budget by $54 billion. Trump’s plan to increase defense spending by 10 percent would bring the Pentagon’s total budget up to $603 billion. The increase will be offset by equivalent cuts from other areas of the federal government’s discretionary budget, however, the cuts reportedly will not affect entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare.

On Thursday, Vencore, Inc. announced that Jeff Bohling had joined the company as senior vice president and general manager of the Chantilly, VA based firm’s civilian and defense business group.
