Weekly Roundup January 30 – February 3 2017: The 28 CEOs in This Year’s Wash100 & more

Weekly Roundup

January 30 – February 3 2017

A Note From Our President & Founder Jim Garrettson

Our fourth annual Wash100 list of Government Contracting™s Most Influential Figures hit the presses last week to recognize leaders in the public and private sectors and those from major academic, financial services and trade organizations.

This week, we want to highlight this year™s recipients at the very top of their private sector organizations: the CEOs responsible for leadership, direction and vision of a business.

Altogether, 28 private sector inductees of this year™s class hold the title of œChief Executive Officer for their company or business unit within a larger corporation.

CEOs in the government contracting industry hold a unique responsibility to position their business for growth in line with commercial market trends and agencies’ policy and spending priorities.

That challenge holds especially true in this current time of change for these leaders to forecast the segments of the larger contracting market that present the best business opportunities.

Today ends a second full week with a new administration in charge and these GovCon CEOs continue to watch for details on where the program and spending agendas will be focused.

Below are the names in this 28-strong group of GovCon Chief Executives in the 2017 Wash100:

Keith Alexander, Ken Asbury, Tory Bruno, Wes Bush, Leanne Caret, Mac Curtis,
Matt Desch, Paul Dillahay, Lynn Dugle, Mark Gray, John Heller, Marillyn Hewson,
Barbara Humpton, Thomas Kennedy, Roger Krone, Judy Marks, Scott McIntyre,
Tony Moraco, Ramzi Musallam, Phebe Novakovic, Mike Petters, Larry Prior, Chuck Prow, Steve Rubley, Peter Smith, Alan Marc Smith, David Thompson, and Lou Von Thaer.
