Navy Selects 3 Firms for Marine Corps Ground Training Services IDIQ


military in trainingEngineering Support Personnel, Global Technical Services and Ice Technical Services have secured positions on a potential $48.9 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide support services for U.S. Marine Corps training ranges.

The Defense Department said Monday the companies will vie for task orders to help the Marine Corps operate and maintain training ranges under the indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract.

Work will occur at various sites in California, Arizona, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Marine Corps Base Hawaii and Japan.

The Navy received three bids for the multiple-award contract via the Federal Business Opportunities website and the contract contains a basic ordering period of 40 months and performance of work will not exceed 52 months.

DoD said the military branch will obligate $7.5 million in fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds for the initial task order awarded to Engineering Support Personnel.
