TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 14, 2016 Neil Green, president of Intel‘s (Nasdaq: INTC) federal business, has stated that high-performance computing has supported new research and government technology programs, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
He wrote in an FCW opinion piece published Tuesday that the development and availability of computing technology has allowed HPC to be a resource for nontechnical researchers.
HPC is advancing how health care is delivered by bringing technology and software innovations to bear on accelerating cancer research, Green said of the government’s Cancer Moonshot program.
Other programs that work to advance HPC technology are the National Strategic Computing Initiative and OpenHPC, he wrote.
