TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 3, 2016 The General Services Administration has taken on an expanded role in the effort to assist the presidential candidates to prepare for their possible transition to government leadership, ExecutiveGov reported Wednesday.
Casey Coleman, vice president for civilian agencies at Unisys‘ (NYSE: UIS) federal business, wrote in a blog post published Tuesday for Federal Times that an agency program will provide candidates’ teams access to government data to help provide insight on current federal programs.
“This is important because new administrations tend to want to sweep away everything associated with the previous office holders upon their arrival in Washington, ” said Coleman.
“It also elevates the importance of IT and management issues like procurement reform.”
