Erich Sanchack, formerly vice president of competitive enhancements at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), has been named senior VP of federal sales at CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) in a move that takes effect Nov. 1.
CenturyLink said Tuesday he will succeed Tim Meehan, who will transition to a new role as VP of managed services sales and support at the Louisiana-based communications firm.
“[Sanchack] brings more than 20 years of strong public and private sector IT experience that will help us build and implement technology solutions that meet agencies’ needs, “ said Dean Douglas, Centurylink’s president of sales and marketing.
Sanchack held a 12-year career at Lockheed, where he also previously served as information technology services VP within the aerospace and defense contractor’s former information systems and global solutions segment.
IS&GS and Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) merged through a tax-free Reverse Morris Trust transaction that closed in mid-August.
The former U.S. Marine Corps finance officer began his private-sector career at food processing and packaging company Tetra Pak.
He also currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the American Heart Association for Greater Washington Region as well as the advisory council at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians and the Armed Services Council for the Union League of Philadelphia.
