TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 21, 2016 Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has received a potential $270 million contract from the U.S. Navy to integrate the Joint Precision Approach and Landing System with various aircraft, GovCon Executive reported Wednesday.
The company said Wednesday it will work to integrate the JPALS landing guidance technology with unmanned aircraft systems and the Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) F-35 fighter jet.
Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheon’s intelligence, information and services business, said JPALS aims to provide aviators landing guidance that operates at any time, weather or environment.
