Accenture said Wednesday DPS will operate as a subsidiary within the firm’s Accenture Federal Services organization.
AFS CEO David Moskovitz said the firm seeks to combine its cyber defense platforms and client knowledge with DPS experience in security analytics and operational security in an effort to help federal agencies protect their data from cyber threats.
The transaction is subject to closing conditions and regulatory review and is intended to complement Accenture’s acquisitions of Arlington, Virginia-based incident response and adversary simulation services provider FusionX in August 2015 and Houston-based industrial control system security firm Cimation nearly four months later.
DPS works to provide cyber operations, information assurance, cybersecurity training and education, security engineering and architecture and managed security services to government and commercial clients.
