Northrop Lands Air Force KC-10 Engine Overhaul, Logistics Contracts


northrop Grumman_BLUENorthrop Grumman™s (NYSE: NOC) technical services business has received two separate contracts worth $54.1 million and $42.3 million from the U.S. Air Force to provide engine overhaul services and logistics support for the KC-10 program.

The company will overhaul 12 KC-10 engines in Vancouver, Canada under the first contract that runs through Sept. 28, 2018, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

Northrop will also perform logistic support for the KC-10 aircraft and spares under the second contract at Air Force bases located in New Jersey, California, Hawaii, Oklahoma and Japan through the two-year period of performance.

The Air Force guaranteed the contracts™ full amount at the time of award and used funds from its fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance budget.
