The Defense Department said Thursday GSA’s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center awarded the task order through the Alliant information technology contract vehicle.
DoD renamed the former Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization as JIDA in July 2015 to reflect the agency’s efforts to neutralize improvised threats worldwide.
Booz Allen will perform contract work primarily in Virginia and the National Capital Region through Aug. 22, 2021 and company personnel will support globally deployed U.S. forces on an as-needed basis, the department noted.
GSA FEDSIM received two offers for the task order and will obligate $15 million at the time of the award from joint IED defeat funds.
