DLA Taps Agfa Healthcare for Potential $768M Medical Imaging Tech Contract


electronic-health-record-EHRAgfa Healthcare has won a potential 10-year, $768 million contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to supply digital imaging network-picture archive communication systems to the U.S. military.

The Defense Department said Friday DLA Troop Support received seven offers for the procurement effort and will fund the contract with the agency’s fiscal year 2016 through fiscal 2026 defense working capital funds.

Agfa Healthcare will provide the medical imaging technology to the U.S. Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine Corps as well as federal civilian agencies, DoD noted.

DoD expects the company to finish contract work Aug. 11, 2026.

Greenville, South Carolina-based Agfa Healthcare offers enterprise imaging, integrated care, hospital information technology and digital radiography systems to healthcare organizations worldwide.
