The KMEA-Amec Foster Wheeler JV will collaborate with M.S. Hatch Consulting, AECOM (NYSE: ACM) and CH2M to conduct research, surveys and engineering services for the Navy’s environmental compliance program, the service branch said Thursday.
The companies will perform work in California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and other Defense Department installations in the U.S. through 2021.
“This contract helps [Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest] project managers support all the environmental compliance requirements at installations and special areas to meet all environmental compliance regulations to support the warfighter effort, ” said Rob Campbell, NAVFAC Southwest contracting officer’s representative.
The MMEC group will study air quality, water quality, asbestos, sediment, landfills and wastewater, among other environmental compliance services, under the contract.
