Raytheon Lands $119M Contract for Lot 9 Air Force Decoy Jammer Vehicles


Raytheon logoRaytheon (NYSE: RTN) has received a $118.5 million contract to manufacture the ninth batch of miniature air-launched decoy jammer vehicles and support equipment for the U.S. Air Force.

The Defense Department said Wednesday the company™s missile systems business will produce the vehicles in Tucson, Arizona, through June 30, 2020.

MALD is a modular vehicle Raytheon designed to help the U.S. and its allies confuse hostile integrated air defense systems through information sent to enemy airspace.

The Air Force allocated the contract™s full amount from its fiscal year 2016 procurement, operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
