The Defense Department said Tuesday the contract covers data collection, analysis and manipulation for geospatial predictive modeling.
GeoEye Analytics — the recipient of the contract — merged with DigitalGlobe in 2013 through a $900 million deal and the combined firm decided to trade as the latter on the New York Stock Exchange.
Work under the new contract will occur in the National Capital Region through June 19, 2021.
The contract was awarded in accordance with the “Source Selection” subpart of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, DoD noted.
