KBR provides management support on the project, as well as oversees supervision, design and construction consultants as they work to build new roads and update current road networks, KBR said Thursday.
“Increasing our role in Qatar’s Expressway Program is an important part of our strategy to grow our regional Gulf business, ” said Stuart Bradie, president and CEO of KBR.
The company added that it works closely with the Qatar Public Works Authority in the construction of the road networks under Qatar’s National Vision 2030 program.
The QAR 50B Expressway Program covers almost 560 miles of roads as well as 348 bridges and underpasses to link the opposite sides of Qatar to boost road capacity amid the country’s social and economic development.
