TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 7, 2016 ” Concurrent Technologies Corp. has received an additional $200, 000 from the Office of Naval Research to bring a contract for the development of a U.S. Marine Corps pre-deployment training program to a cumulative value of $1.1 million, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The company said Thursday the Virtual Human Terrain Scenario Training program will utilize virtual, avatar-based technology.

“Marines require pre-deployment training in areas including urban patrolling, tactical questioning, tank and infantry integration, and other skills necessary for operations, ” said Ed Sheehan Jr., president and CEO of CTC.

“This approach, leveraging modern gaming technology, can create training efficiencies.”
