Retired Army Gen. John Campbell Joins BAE US Arm’s Board of Directors

John Campbell, a retired U.S. Army general and former commander of U.S. forces and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, has been appointed to the board of directors of BAE Systems‘ U.S. subsidiary.

He will serve a three-year term on the BAE Systems Inc. board,  the company said Wednesday.

“General Campbell brings extensive leadership and operations experience from a distinguished 37-year career, ” said Michael Chertoff, BAE Systems Inc. board of directors chairman.

“His knowledge and perspective on the U.S. military™s needs around the world will be highly valuable.”

Campbell has worked in the Army as the deputy chief of staff for operations then vice chief of staff from 2011 to 2014 and was the deputy commander of the 1st cavalry division and multinational division Baghdad as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
