Navy Picks 6 Firms for NAVFAC Construction, Renovation Services IDIQ


NavyConstructionThe U.S. Navy has awarded six companies spots on a potential five-year, $49 million to provide construction and renovation services for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.

NAVFAC awarded the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a competitive procurement process with seven offers received, the Defense Department said Thursday.

The design-build contract contains a base term of one year and four one-year options and also covers repairs, alteration and demolition work for airfield, aircraft traffic control, hangar, dormitory, administrative, community support and training facilities within NAVFAC™s southeast area of responsibility.

Work could run through April 2021 if all options are exercised, according to DoD.

The awardees are:

  • Eagle Fire
  • Siemens Government Technologies
  • The Ross Group Construction
  • VSC Fire and Security
  • W.W. Gay Fire & Integrated System
  • Wolverine Fire Protection

Ross Group Construction secured an initial task order worth $3.6 million to design and build fire protection facilities for two hangars at a naval air station in Corpus Christi, Texas, and is scheduled to finish work by March 2018.
