Michael Munn, Harry Xenitelis Named Tampa Microwave Business Devt Directors for NATO, USSOCOM


Tampa Microwave's logoThales subsidiary Tampa Microwave has appointed Michael Munn and Harry Xenitelis as directors of business development for NATO and the U.S. Special Operations Command, respectively, as part of its expansion efforts in international satellite communications terminal and defense markets.

Munn, formerly manager for special operations U.S. business at Tampa Microwave, will oversee the company™s European business for the Defense Department and NATO, the company said Monday.

Munn, a 28-year U.S. Army veteran, previously served as project manager in the Joint Special Operations Command prior to his move to Tampa Microwave.

His career in the service branch included assignments in the joint communications unit, 75th ranger regiment and the 82nd airborne division.

Xenitelis, who will be responsible for all the company™s business operations at USSOCOM, is a retired Army colonel.

During his three-decade military career, Xenitelis held senior leadership roles at several Army units including the Special Operations Command-Pacific and the Army Space and Missile Defense Command.

He spent two years as an associate for Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and nearly three years as installation and account manager at Alcatel-Lucent.

St. Petersburg, Florida-based Tampa Microwave produces portable satcom terminals for U.S. and international clients.
