TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 3, 2016 Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) has secured an $88 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to deliver and install electronic warfare systems on the service branch’s F/A-18 fleet, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
“Naval aviators face a growing range of threats as their missions evolve and hostile actors gain access to increasingly advanced technology, ” said Ed Zoiss, president of Harris’ electronic systems business.
The company said Friday its EW jammers will work to protect aircraft from integrated air defense systems and other electronic threats.
