Chris Pehrson: Air Force Flew General Atomics ‘Avenger’ With UTC Sensor

TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 22, 2016 ” The U.S. Air Force has flown a General Atomics-built Predator C Avenger unmanned aerial vehicle carrying sensors from United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) in a series of flight demonstrations, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

Chris Pehrson, strategic development senior director at General Atomics’ aeronautical systems business,  told Flightglobal in a report published Monday that the Avenger had seven flights from January to February to test its integration with UTC’s MS-177 sensor.

The report said the Air Force next plans to integrate the sensor with Northrop Grumman‘s (NYSE: NOC) RQ-4B Block 30 Global Hawk.
