The goal is to identify vulnerabilities in the Air Forces avionics and protect the systems from cyber attacks, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
The Air Force plans to integrate the tools and methodologies into its Avionics Vulnerability Assessment Mitigation and Protection cyber research platform following tests on the technologies, according to a notice posted April 2015 in the Federal Business Opportunities website.
Ball Aerospace and SiCore will perform work in Dayton, Ohio, through March 30, 2024.
The Dayton, Ohio-based Air Force Research Laboratory received 23 offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via the FedBizOpps solicitation.
