Boeing Creates Pan-European Business Leadership Team; Marc Allen Comments


boeing logoBoeing (NYSE: BA) has appointed four executives to its newly formed regional leadership team that will be responsible for the aerospace and defense contractor’s operations in Europe.

Marc Allen, president of Boeing’s international segment, said Thursday the initiative will enable appointees to make decisions on a pan-European basis.

Michael Arthur will serve as president of the Boeing Europe organization in addition to his current position as president of the company’s U.K. and Ireland business.

Brian Moran, who currently leads European Union and NATO relations at the company, will serve in the additional role of  vice president for government affairs in the pan-European organization.

Antonio de Palmas will be managing director of the organization’s operations in Southern Europe and continue to lead Boeing’s Italian business.

De Palmas will also manage productivity and growth initiatives in Spain, Portugal and Greece as well as business development and marketing activities in those countries’ defense, space and security markets.

Mark Nieuwendijk, co-managing director of Boeing unit AerDat, has been named director of strategy and market development for Boeing Europe.

He will assume his new role on June 1 and be responsible for implementing the organization’s growth, productivity and partnerships strategy.
