Anil Chakravarthy, acting CEO of Informatica since August 2015, has been appointed to the chief executive role on a full-time basis by the company’s board of directors, the company said Tuesday.
Chakravarthy has led the company’s efforts to grow in the software market over the past two quarters and previously was executive vice president and chief product officer.
He oversaw the market release of the Informatica v10 and Big Data Management platforms.
Before he joined the company in September 2013, Chakravarthy served in leadership roles at Symantec for almost 10 years, managed products at VeriSign and worked at McKinsey & Co. where he started his career.
Additionally, Informatica said Bruce Chizen, former CEO of Adobe, has joined the company as chairman and he aims to help the management team prioritize strategies in his new position.
Informatica also appointed Jim Davis and Doug Barnett to respectively serve as chief marketing officer and chief financial officer.
Davis joins the company after a 21-year career at SAS, where he most recently served as EVP and chief marketing officer and has helped the company transform into an analytics software solutions business.
Barnett is formerly EVP and CFO of TriZetto and held responsibility over corporate financial, human resource and information technology management functions.
He has also held finance roles at AlixPartners, UGS PLM Software and PwC.
